Are you a CISO, network engineer, cybersecurity specialist, SecDevOps? Or you just want to understand how the network works in Kubernetes to better understand the security issues and protection mechanisms?
BlueTrusty has designed a series of webinars for you!
In this first episode, you will learn the basics:
- Networking of Pods, Worker Nodes,
- operation of ClusterIP Services (in the Kubernetes sense),
- (short) introduction to external LoadBalancer, NodePort and Ingress Controller,
- IP addressing management within the cluster (IPAM),
- Network virtualisation: overlay/underlay mode, bridge mode, NAT,
- overview of the NICs (Calico, Cilium, Flannel...),
- a word on governance (Namespace).
This webinar does not require prior knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes, but you should already be familiar with classic TCP/IP networking concepts.
It aims to allow network and security teams to better understand, through a live demonstration, how different workloads use the network to communicate inside and outside a Kubernetes cluster
We will conclude with a discussion of the problems in companies and thus pave the way for the next episodes (filtering, partitioning, service mesh, sidecar proxy, eBPF, etc.).
