[Customer testimonial] The Mont de Marsan agglomeration uses PushManager to manage its agents' fleet

The solution was adopted in 2019. Agents were gradually equipped with new smartphone-type terminals. Today, the agglomeration's mobile fleet comprises some 600 terminals, including smartphones and tablets.

The teams called on PushManager to meet their main needs, which were based on the need to manage their fleet:
This enables us to deploy applications and secure terminals. Today, data protection is an important and highly sensitive issue. Numerous hackings by companies, town halls and local authorities have prompted us to make security the focus of our work. The IT Department of Mont de Marsan Agglomération therefore wishes to emphasize this point. The PushManager solution enables us to secure our terminals, in particular through locking, remote blocking and even location services.

Arnaud Salvador explains that the main advantage of PushManager is its accessibility. They order their licenses via the UGAP central purchasing unit, which saves them time on time-consuming administrative tasks. "The solution is complete and very easy to learn. The dedicated web interface enables us to manage our mobile fleet and deploy our terminals with greater peace of mind. It also enables us to set up various restrictions, such as whitelisting or blacklisting applications, activating or deactivating native applications, and creating profiles according to different departments and their different needs."

In the event of loss of a mobile terminal, the solution also offers a function for remote wiping, deleting all data and geolocation. These functions ensure the security of all the mobile terminals used by the agglomeration's agents.

In particular, the IT Department provides digital tools for the Education and Health (home help service) departments. These agents are spread throughout the local authority's territory.

For Arnaud Salvador and the IT Department, the advantages are :
If an agent loses his pin code, we can have the information, if an agent loses his smartphone, we can block it or even reset it easily... This means that agents don't have to go on site for the simplest repairs, and vice versa. We can also install applications remotely on their smartphones, which again gives us greater flexibility. During the Covid and vaccination pass period, this enabled us to deploy the TousAntiCovid and TACVerif applications (and their updates) very quickly to several departments receiving the public."

The expert support teams help to simplify and streamline the handling of various incidents. Since the start of our collaboration, Arnaud tells us that he has had little to do with support because "the solution works so well.

However, he adds that on the occasions when they had trouble enrolling some of their terminals: "They've always been attentive and very competent. They know the solution inside out and have always been able to respond to our problems when we've had them."

For an organization wishing to manage its mobile fleet simply and securely, Arnaud Salvador recommends "determining needs well in advance."

He concludes by telling us to "obviously test other solutions" offering different means of management. In their case, "We needed a tool that would allow us to manage the entire smartphone, and PushManager met that need."
