Participation in Action Against Hunger's connected challenge

15 July 2021

From 7 June to 2 July, 68 employees took part in Action Against Hunger's #Connectedagainsthunger Challenge, organised for the third consecutive year. Between a sporting challenge and a role-playing game, our employees were able to take on the role of a humanitarian specialising in climate change issues and carry out challenges by travelling virtually to the countries in which Action Against Hunger is active.

Using the dedicated Connected Against Hunger application, our employees accomplished the different missions in teams of 6 to 10 people by taking on daily sporting challenges through walking, running, cycling or yoga.

The objective of this game was twofold for our company:

  • Encourage our employees to practice a sport activity in a playful way and without having to meet physically, in virtual teams... while being in solidarity with Action Against Hunger!
  • Support the association Action contre la Faim, a French NGO that is a major player in the fight against undernutrition in the world. The climate crisis is a factor in the aggravation of undernutrition, and Action Against Hunger's teams are aware of this on a daily basis and are acting in the field to support the populations.

During these 4 weeks, the various ITS Group teams travelled hundreds of kilometres:

  • 9571 Km of walking
  • 5207 Km by bike
  • 3230 Km running

Our participation will have enabled ITS Group to generate €9 ,600 of the €850,000 collected in total, in support of Action Against Hunger's missions

A big thank you to all the employees who mobilised themselves for this event and who proudly represented ITS Group during this sporting and solidarity challenge.
