Monnaie de Paris, an ITS Integra customer reference

January 27, 2023

The company

Located in the heart of Paris, Monnaie de Paris is the oldest French institution. It pursues the mission that the King of France had entrusted to it in 864, to mint coins. It has a triple mission: regalian, commercial and cultural.

Based on this historical expertise, it produces and markets foreign coins, collector coins, objets d'art, medals and decorations for foreign countries, companies and institutions.

The need

In 2016, Monnaie de Paris wanted to fully outsource the hosting of its IT rooms, as well as the administration of its infrastructure base. In addition, it was imperative that there be a restructuring of IS activities, in order to move from a CAPEX to an OPEX model.

For this purpose, this French institution was looking for an outsourcer who could accompany them in this process. The goal was to increase the performance of their IS and to reduce the deployment time of applications, thanks to automation.

All these steps had to be accompanied by an important system of security and data replication, with the implementation of a PRA on remote site.

The solution

To meet the needs of Monnaie de Paris, ITS Integra proposed the integration of a scalable hyperconverged architecture, as well as an orchestration portal based on Nutanix Calm.

This dedicated support enabled the migration from a traditional architecture to a hyperconverged infrastructure. This transformation ensures end-to-end resilience and security.

In addition, numerous Cybersecurity services have been put in place, in order to meet the customer's requirements: DRP, Security Bastion, Resilient WAN architecture, etc.

In the face of the ever-increasing cyber threat, the launch of a "fully managed" SOC solution by ITS Integra in 2022 has caught the client's attention. Indeed, wishing to protect its information system as well as possible, Monnaie de Paris has agreed to deploy the solution.
