Thomas: Branch Technical Manager
"In November 1999, I was attending a professional training course in Nantes and I was invited to meet ITS Group informally. After an initial friendly meeting, I was invited to visit their Paris office the following week, to see how they worked and to introduce me to the company’s activities and structure. Eight days later I joined the team with a new mission to accomplish… and I’ve been here ever since.
At the start of my career, I was working in mail system management. I was gradually promoted to administrator, engineer and then expert.
After proving my technical skills, my role then became one of project manager. After nearly 12 years in the company, I’m the Technical Manager of one of the branches. This represents a form of culmination of my experience throughout all the stages of service provision.
I’ve always been satisfied with the company's training and support programme. They know how to find talented people and help them develop their full potential.
Jean-Philippe: Junior sales engineer
"When I left my previous company, I wanted to do something other than secondment, working on projects. ITS called me and their proposal seemed interesting, so I came to see what it was all about. They were very reassuring and approachable, a rare thing in the industry! The Branch Manager had just taken up his post and his vision of his employees and his technical background were very appealing. I had the feeling that we could learn a lot from each other. I was formally introduced to the COO and ten days later I took up my new position. There were several junior employees joining head office at the same time and this made it easier for us to integrate."
Anne-Fleur: Information management Services Centre Manager
"I was a project manager at a bank and it bored me to death always to be handling the same projects with the same people. I was ready for a change, and when I met the ITS GROUP in 2005 it was their human qualities and the excellent career development potential that made me decide to take the plunge.
I was appointed Change Manager at Société Générale at La Défense, leading a team of four, I represented SG to the head of managed services. At this time I was also able to obtain my ITIL V2 Certification.
After a period of eight months, the CIO of SG Corporate offered me the position of Head Transverse Project Manager for DotNet and XML technology. I had to negotiate and monitor the duties of a head of department, which taught me the subtleties of language and diplomacy. Société Générale underwent restructuring in 2007 and I took on overall management of the project, so my time was split between meetings with the various project managers and managing my eight-person team. But I was reaching the end of my three years as consultant with the bank, so change was the natural next step for me. At that moment, ITS reapproached me and offered me the position of Account Manager in IT operations within an industrial context. I had to manage a team of 15 people, with budgets and it was all so different from what I was used to! It was a very enriching experience on both a professional and a personal level.
In early 2010, after acquiring Prisme, ITS decided to open a Service & Skills Centre in Paris, and they thought I could be useful. I took on the position of Head of Information Management, and I currently handle several accounts with shared resources. I work in a constantly changing environment.
ITS and I have been living an adventure for over six years... and it's not about to come to an end."
Thibaut: Intern – Sustainable Development Manager
"I was looking for an internship in the field of SD, and I applied for several positions. Then I decided to post my CV on some websites, including Monster, which is something we don’t normally do.
Less than a week later, ITS Group contacted me to offer me an internship that exactly matched the goals I had set. After the first telephone conversation during which they explained to me the tasks I was to handle, I was called by the operations manager who was going mentor my internship, and he suggested an interview that week. The interview went smoothly; there was a real sense of reciprocality. Everything looked very professional and all of the interviews took place on the same day – with the HR Department and operations managers.
Everything went very well, from the first call to my integration into the company: I was glad the company found me and sought me out with a strong proposal – and everything was settled in less than ten days. I joined ITS Group and I haven't regretted it for one minute. The atmosphere is excellent and the tasks they assign are as interesting as they had promised."
Yamina: Lead Project Manager
"With a doctorate in engineering, I joined ITS Group in 1999 as a consultant, leaving my previous job teaching at the engineering school to enter the IT world. I’ve had a classic experience here: I have got to know a lot of clients and occupied a number of positions. I joined an IT company looking for some action, I wanted to be part of various projects, learn new things and see new things.
Still today, whenever I experience difficulties, I know I can count on the internal support network of colleagues that I've worked with. Our clients and ITS Group have faith in me: Today, I am a Lead Project Manager and I am in charge of project managing as a general contractor."
Julien: Operations Analyst
"In November 2008, I applied and was accepted for a position in ITS that they call "promo Unix", a training programme in the administration of the Unix system, designed for people with at least five years of higher education (bac+5), who wish to retrain in the field of IT after being unable to find work in their original field.
On selection day, I met the other applicants and we instantly felt the team spirit. I was lucky to be one of the 8 candidates selected.
Those 30 days of training gave us an opportunity to share and support each other. This was a very enriching experience on a personal level. After the training programme, we were assigned to teams for different clients, but we keep in touch and sometimes have lunch together.
I joined an EDF team and I felt ready to put the theory into practice, and apply what I had learnt to everyday tasks. Everything went smoothly, I was warmly welcomed and I learned the ropes quickly.
I was able to develop my skills rapidly; I am still doing it all the time and loving it!"
